The Rocketeer might be getting a reboot

Vulture is reporting that various writers are meeting with Disney to discuss a possible reboot. Disney originally released The Rocketeer in 1991, which was based off a comic book (also called The Rocketeer) written by Dave Stevens. 

The Rocketeer tells the story of pilot Cliff Secord, who stumbles across a top secret rocket-pack, which allowed him to become a flying, masked hero. The concept might seem similar to Iron Man (in the sense that the protagonist tries to save the day using a flying, mechanical suit), which in a way is true. However The Rocketeer is set in the thirties, where Cliff has to fight both Gangsters and Nazis. What’s not to like?

Deadpool Screenplay writer Rhett Reese admits “script leaked” via Twitter update
